Dear Walla Walla Catholic School Families,
We have a lot going on over the next week here at the WWCS! We are looking forward to meeting with our parents next week for conferences, and we will be cheering on our boys basketball team at state, and finally, Lent begins next week too! In addition to the Ash Wednesday service at Assumption, there will also be an Ash Wednesday service at DeSales from 10:45-11:25 AM. Community members are welcome to join us for that on March 2!
Quick Note Regarding Mask Mandate
As many of you have likely heard, beginning March 21 masks will no longer be required in most settings, including K-12 schools and childcare facilities. The State Department of Health plans to release new guidance for K-12 schools on March 7. We at the WWCS will be distributing new information regarding masking and COVID-19 protocols after we receive that update from the Department of Health.
Irish Athletics Update
Remember that Spring Sports start on Monday for students in grades 8-12! If your child wants to play, please make sure that they are signed up on Final Forms. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Hazeltine.
Boys Basketball to State!
Congratulations to our DeSales boys team for making it to the final 16 teams heading into regionals! DeSales is the #8 seed and will play #1 Almira Coulee Hartline on Saturday, February 26th. Game time is 12:00 PM at Eastmount High School in Wenatchee. Please note that tickets to this Saturday game can only be purchased online. Click here to purchase your tickets.

Consider Becoming a WWCS Board Member
The Walla Walla Catholic Schools Board is looking for parents who are interested in serving as a board member. As a member of the board, you will have an opportunity to be involved in the future of Assumption, DeSales, and the Early Learning Center as we guide our children to be disciples of Jesus Christ—strong in virtue, exceptional in learning, and generous in service. This is an exciting time to participate in shaping the growth of our schools, our policies, and our campus.

Open Enrollment for
2022-23 School Year
Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year is open for all new families! Remember that families can register online using a quick and simple form. To learn about the admissions process and access the form, visit the admissions page on our website.
Did you know that the WWCS has a referral program? We understand that most new enrollees come from word of mouth, and so we offer an incentive for families who want to share the mission of the WWCS with others. The incentive is $350 per new student that enrolls, and that $350 gets deducted from your own tuition fees in October. To learn more about this program, contact our Business office.
Assumption Home and School Scholarship
The Home and School offers a $1000 Scholarship each year to an incoming Freshman at DeSales. The applications are being sent home with the students as hard copies, but a printable PDF can be accessed by clicking the button below. The deadline to turn in applications is March 14th by 3:00 PM. No late applications will be accepted.
Knights of Columbus Trivia Night
Saturday, March 12, 6:30 PM
Our local Knights of Columbus Council is hosting a Trivia Night open to all ages! Food and refreshments will be provided. The cost will be $10 for those that sign up in advance, and $15 to enter at the door. Teams of up to 8 people can compete for cash prizes! Come and join the fun!

Lenten Book Group Opportunity

- Read the book and join our scheduled discussions.
- Schedule a time to meet with Father Seidel to discuss the book and your personal journey through Lent.

HOPE 2022 Information
Save the Date: Saturday, April 30
Invitations for HOPE 2022: "Enchanted Night of Hope" are coming soon! The event will be on Saturday, April 30. For our HOPE auction this year, please consider donating an item, an experience, a gift certificate, or a themed basket to the auction!
There are three ways to give:
- Donate Scrip gift cards: purchase a SCRIP gift card or any gift card of choice to help strengthen an auction package!
- Donate an item, experience, or trip: coordinate with the HOPE Auction Team to create a unique package!
- Sponsor an auction package: contact our Auction Team to donate money towards a custom auction basket!
Donations should be received by March 28th. You can either pick up a donation form at the Assumption or DeSales school office, or you can enter your donation online.

WWCS Holy Hour
Wednesdays at 4:00 PM - St. Patrick Church
The WWCS Wednesday Holy Hour is held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM, at St. Patrick Church. Though this is a Walla Walla Catholic Schools event, it is also open to the community and we hope that you will join us in prayer!
