Athletics Update: Football Fan Attendance
Our volleyball team has been thrilled to participate in games this past week, and tomorrow night (Friday, 7:00 PM) we have our first football game of the season! Because volleyball is an indoor sport, protocols regarding fan attendance are particularly strict, requiring us to limit attendance to two fans per player. With football being outdoors, we are allowed to have up to 200 people total at the event.
This number can potentially be tricky to monitor, but at this time we will not be requiring prior signups to allocate these spots. You are welcome to attend without getting on a list beforehand. If it becomes clear that more than 200 people (including players, coaches, etc.) are hoping to be present at the games we will have to re-evaluate our process.
Further, it is still absolutely essential that all in attendance follow the COVID-19 protocols prescribed, including health screening, wearing face masks, and social distancing. In accordance with these protocols, we will also not be able to hand out rosters, have concessions available, or open the school for halftime use.
Though we have many guidelines to follow, it is always our priority to put on a safe event that gives our student athletes a chance to play and continue to have competitions moving forward. I am beyond excited that we get to have a football game tomorrow and that our families can come to enjoy this event!
Thanks,
