Guatemala Mission Update
For the past two years during Lent, the K-8 classes have collected coins to support the Guatemala Mission in Nahuala. Last week, the director sent out an update explaining how the school is doing, and how they have addressed the difficulties of COVID-19. Walk For Life Event
Sunday, January 24, at 1:30 p.m.
The annual Walk For Life in Walla Walla is happening this weekend! This beautiful event begins with a prayer service at The Father's House (304 N 2nd Avenue), leading into a peaceful procession through downtown Walla Walla, and then ends with a closing prayer service at St. Patrick Catholic Church. This event brings together members of all different faiths to peacefully oppose the Roe vs. Wade ruling, and to celebrate God's gift of life. We hope to see you there!
2021 CDA Youth Education Contest
Entries due by Friday, February 5
Catholic Daughters of America is hosting their annual Youth Education Contest. The theme this year is "Let all you do be done with love" or "Show love to one another". Entries are due February 5th, and can be turned in to the DeSales or Assumption school office.
Categories for submissions include: Essay, Poetry, Art, Computer Art, Music and Photography. The contest is open to any students grades 4-12.
Local and State winners will be announced, and prize money will be awarded, at the end of the school year.
Virtue of the Month: Gratitude!
Our Virtue of the Month for January is Gratitude! To learn more about this virtue, and how we might live it out in our own lives especially through the sacrament of reconciliation, check out this short video!
Prayer Request Form
Prayer is a powerful force for good. We at the WWCS invite you to share your prayer requests with the rest of the school community.
This week, we pray for the following intentions:
- For our government leaders, that they may develop policy that defends the dignity of all human life, from conception to natural death.

Holy Hour
The weekly Holy Hour will continue for all students, families, faculty, and staff, hosted by WWCS on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., at Assumption Church. All of the community are welcome to join us!
