Dear WWCS Community,
This afternoon marks the beginning of our Christmas break! Classes will resume on Monday, January 4th, 2021. There will not be any Weekly News email until after the break on Thursday, January 7.
We encourage families who will be traveling (and/or have reason to believe there is potential for a COVID-19 exposure) during this Christmas break, to please consider learning remotely in January until the recommended time of quarantine has passed. Assuming students are not exhibiting any symptoms after the recommended quarantine time, they will be free to return to school. We appreciate your cooperation on this for the safety of all of our students. To review the CDC guidelines regarding quarantine procedures, click the button below.
After we return from Christmas break, for the first week we will continue with the same learning modality that we currently have in place. This means that grades K-6 will continue with full-time in-person learning, and grades 7-12 will continue with Hybrid AM/PM Cohorts.
However, starting on Monday, January 11, we plan to transition grades 7-12 to full-time in-person learning. We are confident in this decision because of the success we have had with our hybrid model these past few weeks, and because of our continued adherence to strict masking, social distancing, and sanitation protocols. Also, this move is only possible because of the cooperation of parents and students with all of the necessary procedures, including staying home from school in the event of any symptoms or potential exposure to COVID-19.
Thank you again for your companionship on this journey. It is only with the help of the entire community that high quality Catholic education can continue for our students in a safe and healthy environment. Have a restful break, and a blessed Christmas!
